Belgravia Victorian Green is finished with a rich, bottle-green crackle glaze, giving every tile a subtly hand-crafted, antique character - no two pieces are quite alike. Deep and jewel-like, it's a colour that has always been at home in period interiors, from Victorian conservatories to art deco bathrooms.
The archetypal Belgravia field tile, Victorian Green Gloss coordinates with the dado, pencil and skirting pieces to build a complete, layered wall scheme. Its fine crackle finish catches the light beautifully but, as with all crackle glazes, is porous and should be sealed before grouting and periodically thereafter; it is not recommended for use inside showers or other areas of constant water exposure. Ideal for feature walls, kitchen splashbacks and powder rooms, it pairs beautifully with brushed brass and warm timber.
Suitability
Belgravia wall tiles are not suitable for steam rooms, saunas, work surfaces, floors or external use. They are suitable for interior walls only. Most are suitable for walls in wet rooms and showers, with the following exception: Tiles that have a copper based glaze are suitable for dry walls only, and should not be used in wet areas such as showers, or areas with high moisture. These tiles are prone to discolouration by very mild acids and alkalines often found in the home, to avoid discolouration these tiles should be cleaned with pH neutral cleaning agents.
Crazing
Highly glazed ceramic tiles may craze with time, and no guarantee can be given against this occurrence. If crazing occurs the tiles should be sealed.
Cleaning and Maintenance
We do not recommend the use of acid based cleaning products or steam cleaning as this may cause some tiles to react and change in character. We only recommend a pH neutral cleaners.
